Federal Republic of Germany — Reels

Germany from the Rhine to the Brandenburg Gate

This is the most densely packed card in the scenic library. Three reels take in the panorama of Hamburg and the Holsten Gate at Lübeck, the Brandenburg Gate, Cologne Cathedral, Cochem Castle and Neuschwanstein, a Black Forest farmhouse, Bavarian cows, the panorama of Bamberg, the Munich house, the Rhine, and the Boys’ Band at the Dinkelsbühl festival.

Cathedral interiors and castle walls are the subjects stereo photography was invented to handle: vaulting recedes, towers stand off from the hillside, and the Rhine actually bends away. A ViewMaster viewer is required and sold separately here.
